On Friday 8th April, year 11 students from Birches Head and Mitchell High schools hosted a festival at the Victoria Hall in Hanley to promote the Creative Arts and Media (CAM) Diploma and also to celebrate and showcase the work that they have completed during the two years on the course.
The festival, titled "Supercammyfestiliciousviccyalastokie" took place between 10am and 2pm on the day, included Live Music, Dance Groups, Dance workshops, Animation workshops, Film showcases (produced by the students for local pottery businesses Portmeirion and Emma Bridgewater), and Photography and digital image manipulation showcases.
The day turned out to be a success, with students working hard at the Victoria Hall from 7am. It was free entry and open to the general public.
Some VIP's also turned up on the day, including representative from companies involved in the CAM Diploma, and the Stoke-on-Trent Lord Mayor Denver Tolley.
