BHHS U14s Win Rugby Tournament

On the 19th October the under 14’s rugby team took part in the rugby 7’s stoke city rugby tournament. It was the first competitive rugby action for the entire squad. They represented the school exceptionally and went on to win the city-wide tournament beating Sandon High School 85-10 in the final. Professional observers from other schools and rugby clubs commented on the players discipline and respect towards the referee and opposing players. The 8 players who won the competition was; WILL HILL (C), RYAN MORRIS (VC), JOSH HOLMES, TOM BAILEY, JORDAN DUDLEY, AARON SWINGEWOOD, OLIVER HUDSON AND TINASHE MURANZI, these boys will now represent stoke at the regional finals where they will come across the best teams from the west midlands and Staffordshire in Lichfield on the 10th of November 2010.

The schools under 16's rugby team also took part in the rugby 7’s stoke city rugby tournament on the 21st October.  The way they performed was exceptional and the self-discipline, team-ethic and endeavour the boys demonstrated meant that the owner of trentham RUFC invited every member of the squad to join his club. The team finished second remaining unbeaten until the final game of the competition where they lost to St. Thomas Moor. These boys should be congratulated on a fantastic achievement; JORDAN MILLINGTON (C) WILL HILL (VC) RYAN LOCKETT, KANE BARDELL, LUKE SCRIVENS, SAM DAVIES, CAMERON ROBINSON, JOSH HOLMES.
