A group of Year 8 and 9 students are taking part in the ‘A Room with a View’ project with Kat from Partners in Creative Learning. They have spent the morning looking at community, equality, social justice, stereotypes, fake news and belonging. Later, they will be working as a team to devise a creative project to represent community, belonging and equality in the local area, which they will work with an artist to create and present.
We look forward to seeing all of their creative ideas and how their final project might look, in the meantime here are a few pictures from the first day.
Some pictures from Tuesday 19th November.
They are working with a clay artist to design and create a sculpture representing all of the different groups and individuals that are part of the school and the wider community. The theme for their project is ‘Bee Yourself’ so they are designing bees to represent differences and similarities between us all.
They can’t wait to get stuck in with the clay next week!
