Birches Head Academy Celebrates exam successes

Staff, students and Governors at Birches Head Academy, are extremely proud of the achievements of our Year Eleven students and are today celebrating some strong improvements. 48% of students have achieved a Grade 4 pass in both Mathematics and English, a key indicator of a school’s performance. Over a quarter of students achieved a Grade 5 in both subjects, defined by the Government as a ‘strong pass’. Both results are a considerable improvements on last year’s figures.

Under the new challenging grading system, other outstanding performances saw 100% of students passing Sport and Triple Science Physics and very high pass rates in Business Studies (89%) and Art (87%) amongst others.

We are immensely proud of the achievements of our students and we are sure they will continue to embody our motto of ‘Aspire to be More’ as they embark onto the next stage of their education.
