The department is made up of a professional, approachable and dedicated team who are committed to working hard to remove barriers to learning to allow all SEN/D students to achieve their very best. SEN/D staff provide support in lessons and targeted interventions in Literacy, Numeracy and Motor skills in small groups using specific programmes and technology to help students take small steps and make learning engaging.
We have a fabulous purpose-built SEN/D area with a central breakout zone furnished with comfortable seating and containing books and games where we run a lunchtime club for students. A number of smaller classrooms are attached to this for group work.
We pride ourselves on creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for the SEN/D students we support as well as helping them to be the best that they can be.
If you would like to have a chat about what SEN/D can offer; more information; or to arrange to visit the department please contact either Ms Jane Procter (SENCO) or Mr Lee Colclough (Assistant SENCO) at the school.
