So, what is a Trust School?
In essence, a Trust School is a Foundation School supported by an acquired charitable foundation (the Trust) and remains part of the Local Authority (LA) system. The Trust is made up of a group of Partners that support the school with skills and expertise. The assets of the school would be held in the charitable Trust but the Trust does not “own” the school. The responsibility for running the school continues to be the responsibility of the school’s Governing Body and the Headteacher.

What is a Co-operative Trust?
Simply this is a Trust that has stakeholders who shape the direction and decisions of our Trust.  Our stakeholders will form 5 member groups.  These are:
  • Learners
  • Parents
  • Staff
  • Community
  • Community Organisations

Members elect representatives to form a forum who are represented on the Trust Board.
