So, what is a Trust School?

In essence, a Trust School is a Foundation School supported by an acquired charitable foundation (the Trust) and would remain part of the Local Authority (LA) system. The Trust would be made up of a group of Partners that would support the school with skills and expertise. The assets of the school would be held in the charitable Trust but the Trust would not "own" the school. It would have no responsibility for running the school; this would continue to be the responsibility of the school's Governing Body and the Head teacher.
